Artistic theft

Call Me By Your Name (2017) is based on a novel of the same name written by André Aciman first published in 2007.

Everybody already knows that Sufjan Stevens' "Mystery of Love" sounds a lot like "Rhythm of Love" by the Plain White T's.

All the Greek statues in the background are an indication that "Mystery of Love" is the Dorianized version of "Rhythm of Love."  Slave-makers do this all the time.  Isadora Duncan was definitely inspired by movements captured in classical Greek and Renaissance art—some of which were produced by slave-maker artists—but those movements were inspired by level-2 humans like Duncan.2

Green is associated with level-2 humans, so slave-makers used teal for The Shape of Water (2017).  Colonel Richard Strickland in the film tried very hard to make clear to people his car colour was teal, not green. The Shape of Water (2017) got stylistic and musical influences from Paddington (2014).

It's implied that the film Call Me By Your Name (2017) had some Asian stylistic influences, not just on level-1 where Chen Li did actual artwork for the film, but also via level 2.

The manga Maiden Rose was first published in 2005:

The film also has some similarities to a short screenplay I wrote in 2013 titled "The King and the Clown."  There is a 2005 South Korean film 왕의 남자 which is referred to as King and the Clown, though the literal translation would be The King's Man.  Both deal with relationships between kings and royal jesters.

It's implied that a Horgan-type broke into one of my gmail accounts (on level-1) that contained my 2013 screenplay.  Technically, even without that, people can see what I write as I'm typing.

It's implied on level-2 that it's very important that everybody is clear that this story originates from the real (i.e. civilized) FS-types (level-2 humans/earthlings).  During the 90th Academy Awards, the contrast between level-2 humans like Armie Hammer and level-2 monstrosities like The Shape of Water (2017) producers was very clear.

Because so much information can be transmitted via level-2, it's very easy for slave-makers to pick up stories and other artistic elements that actually originated from level-2 humans and claim it as their own.  It's no different from a production studio swiping a script (on level-1) and giving no credit or reimbursement to the original writer.

In contrast, level-2 humans naturally give each other level-2 credit/compensation for level-2 artistic influence.

It's considered particularly offensive for slave-makers to pass off stories that come from level-2 humans as their own because they didn't go through the emotional experiences that led to the story.  They (slave-makers) just show up afterward and think to themselves "Hmmm...taking advantage of this other person's pain and originality lets me pass myself off as a level-2 human and a liberal so I'm just going to steal the work without giving any level-2 credit or reimbursement to the true originators of the story/work."

Slave-makers can't approach the level of emotional depth required to appear genuinely human and liberal so they often resort to stealing the art of level-2 humans.

Even if slave-makers helped work on the film, they still need to acknowledge that the central plot originated from level-2 humans.  Using a level-1 analogy, a slave-maker who happens to help with the set design of the film doesn't have the right to then say he owns the screenplay for the film.  Using another level-1 analogy, advanced talent at breaking into another person's house does not make it okay to take artwork out of that house.
