Response to Simon Lono's Democracy Cookbook piece

Simon Lono
Simon Lono has a piece in the Democracy Cookbook but doesn't even support democracy.1 It goes without saying his definition of democracy is a constitutionally limited government enforced violently on the public that allows for periodic elections.  It goes without saying Lono wants to prevent direct democracy at all costs and will say it's to protect minority rights.  This is a lie.  We can see that constitutional republics like the United States and constitutional monarchies like Britain and Canada treat minorities like shit.  There is one minority that is treated very well in these countries—the slave-making elite.

Democracy means global direct democracy has highest authority.2,3  People who can't accept this can't accept democracy.

I've seen Lono blatantly lie and say the USSR was socialist to keep people poor, side with neo-Nazis to get his way, and imply he's more than willing to exterminate people who point out the truth.

The @Leibowtiz1987 account has been suspended so that side of the convo does not appear

"If we accept that a core issue for democracy is the quality and level of public engagement in grappling with and understanding public issues, then we must target youth for education."

"If we want to improve democracy in our province, we need a deliberate program to educate youth to illuminate the content and form of the black box of government, thus creating a public empowered, and equipped with the skills, to engage in democratic discourse." 1

His desire to target youth for education is no different than Nazis wanting to target youth for education.  He wants to brainwash them into thinking Canada is a democracy and familiarize them with what lies they are supposed to accept.  It's outrageous he says he wants to promote "democratic discourse" while also implying he's not above exterminating people who point out the truth.  Lono's nightmare would be a referendum that approved basic income.  Lono's greatest fears are poverty elimination and real democracy.
