Islamic State claims Las Vegas mass shooting
via MSN News
The Islamic State neither claimed responsibility for nor conducted the Paris Attacks. This didn't stop Hollande from using the Paris Attacks as an excuse to drop bombs on civilians in Syria.1
Even if ISIS did carry out the attack, killing Syrian civilians isn't going to stop that.

3Oct2017: After the Paris Attacks
In the month of the Paris attacks (November 2015), I was still using the Twitter account @poramics. There are many fake anarchists on Twitter. I would label anybody who does not support global direct democracyL1 to be a fake anarchist. A bunch of fake anarchists conspired to get the account suspended because I made my pro-democratic views very clear.
Following the Paris attacks, I asked Chris Taylor (@chrisjudetaylor), an assistant professor at the University of Chicago, what evidence there was that ISIS carried out the Paris attacks. He pulled whoever runs the @pyotr_kropotkin account into the conversation and both threw a big fit over the fact I would even dare to ask the question when so many news outlets had already (falsely) reported that ISIS claimed responsibility for the attacks and had carried out the attacks.
You can't see my side of the discussion, but you can see Taylor's tantrum here: Link. He used various strawman arguments like implying I was asserting ISIS didn't exist.
ISIS did not claim responsibility for the Paris attacks and did not carry out the Paris attacks.1 It's now clear that ISIS will praise attacks they did not commit and claim responsibility for attacks they did not commit.2
What if the response to the Las Vegas shooting, which ISIS claimed responsibility for, was to increase the American-led coalition bombing campaign in Syria? The result would be more civilian deaths since the coalition is aiming for the civilians.3
Had media, politicians, academics like Taylor, and the general public been more astute after the November 2015 Paris attacks, they would have easily uncovered that there was no evidence that ISIS carried out the Paris attacks. ISIS didn't even claim responsibility for the attacks. As a result, there would have been no excuse for France to join in the coalition bombing which has only been killing civilians. Thus, many more innocent lives would have been saved had people just looked for genuine evidence that ISIS was actually responsible rather than using than mindlessly going along with the first convenient excuse to further destroy the Middle East.

Even if ISIS did carry out the attacks, slaughtering Middle Eastern civilians on purpose isn't going to stop that.
